Hours: Permanent Part Time (16 hours per week, plus availability to cover holidays)

Contract length: This is a permanent contract with a probationary period of three months.
Hourly Rate: £9.34
Overall Purpose of the role:
As Front of House/ Barista at Orchard Coffee House you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building customers relations. You will have the ability to work as part of a team but also be self-motivated to deliver a unique and memorable customer experience. You will be preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and speciality beverages. You will also maintain a clean and well stocked workspace and dining area, adhering to all food safety regulations and quality control.
Principal duties and responsibilities are to:
Offer a warm and friendly welcome to all our customers, accurately making drink/cake orders and processing payments correctly and efficiently.
Interact and share advice with customers, know our food inside out, keeping up to date with how our food is made and dietary and allergen advice.
Ensure that Orchard Coffee House products are available, replenished and immaculately displayed in line with our visual merchandising and food safety standards, throughout the day.
Support your colleagues by giving your best and work alongside the rest of the team to ensure maximum productivity and a prompt service.
Work alongside our kitchen staff to ensure orders are processed promptly and food is ready and available to serve to our customers throughout the day.
Ensure all equipment used is kept clean and all supplies are replenished throughout the day.
Check the customers have anything they need and are happy with the service and ensure the tables are cleared and cleaned in between customers. To load and unload the dishwasher as needed, including pot wash when required.
Ensure completion of opening and closing checks and follow the clean as you go processes in accordance with the Safer Food Better Business standard.

Food Safety certificate
Previous experience in a similar role.
A full driving licence
Whilst the applicant does not need to be a committed Christian, a sympathetic attitude towards the ethos of the business is necessary.
