The Seniors are an important part of our church family at Gorsley. There is a wide range of activities from specific community groups through to regular lunches and one off special events held throughout the year.

Check the calendar for specific dates and timings for these events.

Beehive / Community Lunch

Beehive meets each Wednesday during term time at 10 am, starting with coffee and fellowship. Each week there is a guest speaker chosen from a variety of topics that interest the group.

On the first week of the month, a delicious home cooked lunch is served around 12.30 with the meeting ending as it started with tea and coffee around 1.30pm.

Help with transport can be arranged, such as the Dial-a-Ride service from Newent.

Lunch costs £3.50.

WASPS, a group for those who have been widowed, divorced or due to life’s circumstances, find themselves alone in the later years of their lives, meet on the second and fourth Saturday of each month, for coffee and chat, followed by devotions and prayer for one another.

Meeting in the Orchard Coffee House at at 10:30am, with special events also held throughout the year.

Special Events

There are a variety of special events throughout the year for the Seniors group. Pictured here is the fantastic setting for the ‘Orient Express Ride’ from Gorsley to Venice where a ‘Ritz style’ afternoon tea was much enjoyed.
