SAFEGUARDING
At Gorsley Baptist Church, we take seriously our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of everyone we are in contact with, particularly children, young people, and adults who have care or support needs.
We do our best to ensure that everyone involved in leadership roles or who volunteers in any ministry that includes people who may be vulnerable is DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked before taking any responsibility and that they receive relevant Baptist Union level 2 or 3 training delivered by an accredited trainer.
All our safeguarding policies, procedures and guidance documents are available for anyone to read by at the link below, on our premises at the Welcome Desk and in the Lighthouse, or will be sent electronically on request by the church office. We intend to regularly review and update them and believe them to be fully compliant with the Children Act (1989 revised 2004), the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Care Act 2015.
If you have any question or concern of a safeguarding nature, please do not hesitate to contact.
